Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children's Hospital Los Angeles

Unfortunately, the incidence of child abuse continues to rise in Los Angeles. The number of child abuse cases evaluated at Children's Hospital Los Angeles also is on the increase. Reflecting local statistics, the hospital reports between 500 to 600 suspected cases of abuse annually. Sexual abuse comprises 42 percent of these cases. The Nicole Parker Foundation for Children has donated over $600,000 to support the Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.  The Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children's Hospital Los Angeles confronts these alarming statstics with a multifaceted multidisciplinary child protection program involving evaluation, treatment, prevention, education and research in the field of child maltreatment, and provides holistic comprehensive medical care and mental health services to this vulnerable population.

Holiday Gift Giving

Recognizing the number of children in need each holiday season, the Foundation is committed to supporting local toy drives that bring joy to the lives of less fortunate children especially those who are victims of crime or abuse.  In recent years the Foundation has donated thousands of dollars worth of gifts to the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Department Toy Drive, LAPD - abused child unit and the Alhambra

Police Department Holiday Toy Drive.  Both toy drives benefit children who may not otherwise receive gifts during the holiday season.
