Joel R. Price has proudly served with the Los Angeles Police Department for nearly 25 years. During his career Joel has twice been recognized as, "Detective of the Year" and has received numerous commendations from public officials and politicians, up to and including the President of the United States. Joel has spent time working in some of the busiest areas of the city and still thoroughly enjoys his job. Joel has worked a variety of assignments, but seems to have found his niche as a Detective. Having spent nearly 8 years as a homicide investigator, Joel has handled a number of high profile murder cases. As a result of his tireless efforts, he has secured convictions in nearly all of the cases assigned to him.

Joel has also been involved in the security industry for nearly 18 years. Joel built a business based on his hard work and reputation and is proud of the impressive client list his business gathered. One of his proudest moments was when he secured a contract with one of the major sponsors of the 1996 Summer Olympics. This allowed Joel to spend five weeks working in Atlanta, Georgia within the Olympic Park.

As a result of one tragic homicide case, Joel, along with Lori Parker-Gladstein, formed the Nicole Parker Foundation for Children. While Joel never knew Nicole in life, the tragedy of her death touched him so deeply that he has committed himself to the charity named in her honor. The Foundation is a 100% volunteer organization who gathers thousands of dollars each year to support other non-profit organizations in Nicole's honor.

Joel has been married to his high school sweetheart and has three children with whom he spends all of his available time. The tragedy of Nicole's untimely death has made him realize the importance of his own family.
